The blogger Beybit Alibekov was involved as a third party defendant in a civil suit for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation of Kanatbek Safinov, former Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, against the entrepreneur M. Abiyev. Claims for refutation were filed in connection with the interview of the entrepreneur, released on YouTube channel of Beybit Alibekov — AlibekovKZ — under the title «Marat Abiyev: Resignation of the Minister, Corruption and Business». According to the court decision, the information disseminated in the interview must be refuted by the businessman on Alibekov’s channel. The court also satisfied the demand to remove the material.
