The law enforcers broke the door to the office of the public association Belarusian Association of Journalists, searched the premises, and sealed them. The bank account of the organisation was blocked. The Investigative Committee said that the searches in NGOs and media, which took place for several days in the country, are related to the shadow movement of finances, non-payment of taxes, and financing of protest activity. «The seized items, documents, and information will be analysed», — said Uladzimir Shishko, head of the Investigative Committee’s main directorate for investigating organised crime and corruption.
