Roskomnadzor filed a lawsuit against the editor-in-chief of the Qırım newspaper Bekir Mamutov because, in one of the issues of the newspaper, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people was mentioned without a note that the organisation is considered extremist in Russia. A report was drawn up on Mamutov under Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (abuse of media freedom) for the publication of the report of the UN Secretary-General, which mentioned the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. The trial started in 2021.
