Blogger Batmankan Zholdubayeva arrived at an event to cover a retreat of two parliamentary factions whose deputies were visiting the region after the recent clashes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. When Zholdubayeva was broadcasting live, the head of the district administration’s apparatus, Alikhan Uraimov, began to insist that she stop filming and leave the building. He stated that the blogger «does not represent the official media» and tried to remove her from the meeting room by force. «Then he took away my phone, hit me, and dragged me by the hair», — said Batmakan Zholdubayeva. After the incident, the blogger went to the district hospital to register the beatings.
