Independent journalist Bakyt Kulchumanov was attacked by an unknown man in the district office of the State Agency for Registration of Rights to Real Estate. He hit the journalist in the jaw, ripped his clothes, and broke his glasses. After the attack, the journalist said that he went to the Kara-Suu District State Registration Office and was told that «the attacker was a freelancer». According to Kulchumanov’s Facebook account, he went to the agency for information to investigate «green books sold in 2003, which were subsequently illegally revoked with the help of an authoritative deputy.»
