On June 10, four employees of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, without prior notification of the need to appear to testify, stormed the office of the director of the Yerkir Media TV company and member of the Supreme Body of the Dashnaktsutyun party Bagrat Yesayan and detained him. He is charged under Article 38-225 (complicity in the organization of mass riots) and Article 164 (obstructing the legitimate professional activities of a journalist) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The charges are related to the November 10, 2020 attack on the editorial office of Radio Azatutyun in Yerevan. A video published on social networks shows that Yesayan was among the attackers. The next day, the National Security Service applied to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction for permission to arrest the accused. The court rejected the motion and Yesayan was released.
