The journalist and akyn was sentenced to five years in prison for «calling for mass riots». This decision was made by the Leninsky District Court of Bishkek on October 10. For 10 months. Ishenbekov was in pre-trial detention centre together with other colleagues. At the same time, the court sentenced Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy, head of the Temirov Live project, to six years in prison. Journalists Aktilek Kaparov and Ayke Beyshekeyeva were given three years of probation. The other seven defendants in the case were acquitted «due to lack of corpus delicti». 11 current and former employees of Temirov Live were detained in January on charges of calling for mass riots. All the defendants in the case do not agree with the charges.
