Members of the opposition party Musavat attempted to hold a protest rally in front of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan on November 15. Dozens of protesters were detained during the rally. A group of journalists covering the rally was roughly treated by the police during the dispersal of the protests. In particular, freelance journalists Dilara Miriyeva, Elnara Gasimova, Meydan TV employees Aysel Umudova and Aitaj Tapdig, and Azadliq reporter Fatima Movlamli faced physical pressure.
