Akim of the Ashchybulak rural district Zhasulan Onalbayev filed a lawsuit with the district court of the Almaty region for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation against the editor-in-chief of TengriNews.kz Aynur Kurmanov, residents of the region, as well as the brothers Bauyrzhan and Sabyrzhan Bibadzhanovs. The reason was the publication of articles about the situation in which the Bibadzhanovs found themselves — their families could be evicted from the house in which they lived for 20 years. Akim demands a refutation and compensation for moral damage in the amount of KZT 500,000, as well as to oblige the brothers to withdraw their complaints from the prosecutor’s office.
