On May 14, 2021, Nizhnegorskiy District Court of Crimea announced the verdict in the criminal case against the citizen journalist of the Crimean Solidarity Aider Kadyrov, finding him guilty of failing to report a crime (Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Citizen journalist was fined RUB 30,000. On August 31, 2020, after conducting searches in Sudak, Sovetsky, and Nizhnegorskiy districts, four Crimean Tatars — Ayder Kadyrov, Enver Topchi, Ridvan Umerov, and Ayder Ablyakimov — were taken to the Federal Security Service Department of the «Republic of Crimea» and Sevastopol for questioning. All of them were later charged under Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for not reporting to the law enforcement authorities about the correspondence with a certain Umidzhon Dadadzhonov, who, according to the law enforcement authorities, fights in the group of the terrorist organisation ISIS.
