Radio Azattyq reporter Ayan Kalmurat told the Adil Soz Foundation that aggressive protesters tried to beat him and cameraman Sanat Nurbek about 5-6 times: «He had a camera, and I had a microphone. We were wearing blue vests, so they recognized us immediately and tried to prevent us from filming». Journalists were covering the riots in Almaty.
