While on assignment, Avaz Hafizli, journalist of the 13Kanal YouTube channel, was beaten by a security guard of the Dayirman restaurant. The restaurant was holding a grand opening attended by high-ranking officials. The restaurant's doors were closed and were opened after a phone call to the security guards, Hafizli said. According to a reader who reported that the restaurant belonged to the head of the executive branch of the Yasamal District of Baku, the journalist arrived at the restaurant. Hafizli, while outside the restaurant complex, asked the guards if it was true that the head of the executive branch of the Yasamal District was the owner of the restaurant and why ordinary visitors were not allowed inside. The video shows that after their conversation, the security guard resorts to physical force against the journalist.
