The Russian Ministry of Justice has designated the News Website 'Astra' as a 'Foreign Agent' (inoagent). According to the Ministry, Astra spread fake news about Russian policies and decisions, and created a negative image of the Russian army. Furthermore, the ministry claims that Astra spoke out against the invasion in Ukraine, and took part in disseminating content made by other 'Foreign Agents'.
