On October 13, blogger Asliddin Kamol was detained at Dubai airport at the request of Uzbekistan and is planned to be extradited to his home country. It is not yet known what article the blogger is charged with in his home country. Journalist Ulugbek Ashur wrote that Kamol called him via video on October 13. He only managed to say the following: «I was not allowed into Dubai. The staff have taken my passport and are now taking me to another room». During the video call, he said, it could be seen that he was at the airport. Friends of the blogger in Dubai went to the airport and met with security officials who told them they had checked Kamol’s documents and let him go. But the blogger himself said local security officials questioned him for five days.
