On May 6, Ashot Hakobyan, the correspondent of the news website Aravot.am, was prevented from working in Yerevan, near the Victory Bridge, during clashes between police officers and protesters organised by the radical opposition. According to the website, he was wearing a badge with the name of the editorial office, but a police major, noticing that the actions of the law enforcement forces were being photographed, hit Hakobyan’s camera and demanded that the journalist not film him.
