The director general of 24.kg Asel Otorbayeva appealed to the State Committee for National Security with a request to lift the arrest from the office and property of the editorial office. Two days earlier, State Committee for National Security officers arrived at the editorial office, searched it for several hours, and confiscated documents, news agency equipment, and personal phones of the staff, the office was sealed. The lawyers were not allowed in. The report of the seized property and the reason for sealing the office were not presented. The State Committee for National Security reported that the search at 24.kg was conducted in a criminal case under the article «Propaganda of War» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On January 15, Asel Otorbayeva was already questioned by the State Committee for National Security.
