On April 16, Asanali Suyunbayev was detained and then placed in the psychiatry dispensary. His placement in a psychiatry dispensary was carried out with the participation of police officers who stopped Suyunbayev in the street. At the same time, there is no information on what basis a mentally healthy person was placed in a medical institution for people with a mental health condition. Civil activists suggest that Asanali Suyunbayev's critical posts could have caused such actions by the authorities.
