On September 6, the judge of the Kievsky District Court of Simferopol selected a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months for civil journalist Asan Akhtemov, who cooperated with the information initiative Nefes. The consideration of the issue took about 10 minutes. In relation to the cousins Asan and Aziz Akhtemov criminal cases were initiated under Part 1 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (diversion), and the first deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyal is accused of aiding and abetting sabotage. According to the Federal Security Service, on August 23, the gas pipeline leading to the military unit was damaged in the Perevalnoe village, and the Crimeans detained after the searches are allegedly suspected of damaging this pipeline.
