A court in Oryol remanded Artyom Prokhorov, administrator of the Orlets website, and Vladimir Panfilov, journalist and author of the video blog Resume, to a pre-trial detention center. Panfilov was arrested until October 1, and Prokhorov until September 27, 2022. They are accused of extorting (Part 2 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) сompromising information from businessman Vladimir Tilman. In 2018, Panfilov released a YouTube video in support of Tilman when he had a conflict with business partners. Panfilov told the court that he and Prokhorov had recently turned down an offer by «obscure individuals» to «make a roll» on Tilman, after which the businessman offered to work with him. According to Panfilov, Tilman himself asked them «how much money» and they answered «as much as before», without asking him for anything. Prokhorov and Panfilov were detained in Tilman’s office on August 2, when the businessman handed them money.
