Arshad Ibrahimov, the editor of the website dunyanınsesi.az, was detained in Ganja. «For several days now, my brother has been summoned to the Main Department for Combating Organised Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Since the summons was verbal, my brother refused to go, demanding that a summons be sent to him», – said his brother Tariel Ibrahimov. In the evening, Arshad Ibrahimov was grabbed by men in civilian clothes near his house and taken away in a car. Tariel Ibrahimov believes that his brother was detained for criticism of the police on the website. Elshad Hajiyev, head of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, said that «Ibrahimov was invited to the police on the basis of a citizen's claim and will be released after writing an explanatory report.
