28th of February - the chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan brought a case against the LLC 'Editorial Board of the Zhoghovurd Newspaper' in the Gegharkunix regional word of general jurisdiction. The case demands that the defendant refute allegedly slanderous statements, pay compensation totalling 1 million dirhams (more than $2,500), and pay the plaintiff's administrative fees. The plaintiff also brought a case aiming to restrict the use of property and bank accounts by the defendant, totalling 1 million dirhams.
