On September 27, the Head of the Central Administrative District of Yerevan Samvel Ghukasyan filed a lawsuit against Editorial Office of Zhoghovurd LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction demanding a public apology, publication of the court decision, refutation of the information considered as libel and payment of monetary compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the articles published on August 26 and September 9 in the newspaper Zhoghovurd and on the website Armlur.am, the media owned by the above-mentioned LLC. They noted that the head of the district, forgetting all problems, together with his administration is campaigning in favour of the ruling party in the elections to Yerevan Council of Elders and that this person is using street habits. The lawsuit is being considered.
