On 20 October, Ruben Rubinyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, expressed his outrage on his Facebook page over media coverage defending Vardan Ghukasyan, the mayor of Gyumri, who had been arrested on bribery charges. In particular, the deputy speaker described the newspaper Hraparak as an “information dump” and called its editor-in-chief, Armine Ohanyan, “ill-mannered.”
