The Kuzminsky District Court fined Borodina 10 thousand rubles for taking part in a rally on 13 July in support of Ivan Safronov, a former colleague from Kommersant, who was arrested on charges of treason. Borodina was detained at the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center when she was giving a comment for the BBC.
