The editorial office of the Murmansk-based media Arctic Observer, as well as apartments of the journalists Vyacheslav Gorodetsky and Dmitry Artemenko, were searched. Mobile phones, computers, and digital media were seized. The reason was a criminal case of libel (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), initiated because of the text about the purchase of «warm stops», which were not initially suitable for operation in the Far North. A regional government official wrote a denunciation against the journalists.
