On May 31, Park Group LLC filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the founder of the news website Araratnews.am, Makarun AM LLC, demanding to refute the information contained in the article «Yerevan Park employees are threatened with dismissal», published on May 7. In particular, the article says that the management of the establishment, under the threat of job deprivation, forces its staff to participate in the protest movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. The plaintiff also demands compensation in the amount of AMD 6 million (more than USD 15,000) for damaging the business reputation through defamation. The lawsuit is being considered.
