On January 25, the director of the Publishing House Antares Armen Martirosyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against Asekose LLC (founder of the news website Asekose.am) and its owner Aram Harutyunyan, demanding public refutation of the information considered libel and compensation for the damage caused to his honor and dignity. The reason for the lawsuit was the article published on December 25 on the mentioned website, in which the thoughts of another citizen about the current government were attributed to Armen Martirosyan. On January 18, even before the plaintiff went to court, the website published a refutation. Nevertheless, the lawsuit was filed, but then withdrawn before it was taken into proceedings, as the dispute was resolved through the refutation.
