The Basmanny District Court of Moscow sent the journalist of SOTAvision Antonina Favorskaya to the pre-trial detention center for two months, until May 28, in the case of participation in an extremist community (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Favorskaya was detained on March 27 at the exit from the special detention centre, where she was serving her arrest under the article on disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). On the same day, law enforcers searched her and her parents’ flats. After that, Favorskaya was taken for interrogation to the Investigative Committee, and then taken to the temporary detention centre. On March 28, the journalist was interrogated once again. On June 24, 2024, the court extended the journalist’s arrest until August 3.
