Anton was detained in the center of Minsk, where a where a demonstration was taking place with those who disagreed with preliminary results of voting. During the arrest, he was beaten by riot police officers. He spent almost a day in the CIP (Center for Isolation of Offenders), and released on the evening of 10 August.
