On November 14, Anton Kurdyumov was detained while he was covering a protest rally and left in a detention center until the trial. On November 16, he was sentenced to two days of arrest under Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (participation in a public assembly creating an obstruction to traffic ) and released, given his time in the detention center. After the trial, Kurdyumov was detained again and arrested for seven days under Part 8 of the same article (repeat violation of the rules for participating in a public event).
