The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has added Tajik journalist Anora Sarkorova, a former employee of the BBC Russian service, and her husband, journalist and editor of Imruz radio Rustam Joni (Joniyev), to the wanted database. The journalist reported about it in her Telegram channel, attaching screenshots with names from the search database. The journalist noted that all these people were included in the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the request of the official Dushanbe. She called on opponents of Emomali Rakhmon’s policies to refrain from travelling, including in transit, to the SCO, CSTO, and CIS countries. Anora Sarkorova and Rustam Joni, who have publicised human rights violations in Tajikistan, left the country several years ago due to pressure from the authorities.
