Two veterans of Russia’s war in Ukraine, Yevgeny Zuev and Igor Roenko, have won lawsuits against journalist Anna Sharipova after she recorded them drinking beer on a children’s playground. Each was awarded 25,000 rubles (€262) in damages. Sharipova, an independent journalist from Nakhodka known for her criticism of the local mayor, claims the lawsuits are part of a politically motivated campaign of harassment orchestrated by the mayor and supported by pro-war groups.
