Mongait received threats on behalf of the radical right-wing Male State movement after interviewing a same-sex couple who appeared on the cover of the Elle magazine. The authors of the messages insulted Mongait demanded a public apology, and threatened to «stab her children to death». Links to the Instagram accounts of Mongait and the heroines of the interview were published in the Telegram channel of the Male State movement.
