Anna Loiko was declared wanted in a criminal case on justification of terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case was opened for the publication in 2021 about the persecution of members of the movement Hizb ut-Tahrir. On October 31, the journalist’s flat in Moscow was searched and her mother was questioned by the Investigative Committee. Anna Loiko herself is outside Russia.
