The apartment of Anna Katser was searched in connection with a criminal case under Part 1.1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inducement, recruitment, or other involvement of a person in mass riots). The case was initiated on March 14 in connection with the open Telegram chat discussion, one of whose participants in early March offered to buy megaphones for an anti-war action. Searches in the case were conducted at a minimum of seven addresses of journalists, university professors, and political and civic activists in Kazan.
