On February 17, 18-year-old Anisa Ruziyeva was detained together with 19-year-old blogger Jahongir Rakhimzoda for making joke videos on social media. The young man was subjected to administrative arrest and the girl was sentenced to a fine of TJS 720 (approximately USD 65). The report was drawn up for disobeying the lawful demands of police officers. They regarded the young bloggers’ videos as offensive and disrespectful of the cultural values of the Tajik people.
