On February 22, during the protest action in the Republic Square of Yerevan, the police not only arrested a number of demonstrators, but also the correspondent of the TV company Yerkir Media Ani Nahapetyan, who was performing her professional duties at the action. Although the journalist was wearing a journalist ID, her lawyer was told at the police station that they did not know whether they were dealing with a media representative or a participant of the rally. The journalist was later released.
