On October 26, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the Chairwoman of Hayeli Press Club (Hayeli.am) journalist Angela Tovmasyan, demanding to apologise for insult and pay monetary compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the swear word written by Angela Tovmasyan in her commentary to the message of the Speaker of the Parliament «We should finally leave a free, independent, and peaceful Armenia to our children as an inheritance», published on September 21 on the news website Tert.am. The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
