Journalist Andrzej Poczobut was charged under Article 130 of the Criminal Code (“Inciting national and religious hatred and discord, on the basis of national, religious, linguistic or other social affiliation, including rehabilitations of Nazism.” The Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case against members of the unrecognised Union of Poles. According to the indictment, “citizens, positioning themselves as members of the above union,” have held “a number of illegal mass events in Grodno since 2018 to honour members of anti-Soviet groups that operated during (and after) WWII, committed robberies, murdered Belarusian citizens and destroyed property."
