Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested Dissernet co-founder and Novaya Gazeta data editor Andrey Zayakin in absentia. He was put on the international wanted list. Zayakin was detained on August 28; he is accused of financing extremism (Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for having transferred RUB 1,000 to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. After Zayakin was detained, a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions was imposed on him, and in October, it became known that he was declared wanted.
