The company Izumrudny Gorod, owned by businessmen Alexei Vavilov and Vladislav Levchugov, secured a court order requiring journalist Andrei Ostrov to retract his reports concerning alleged violations during the construction of a shopping centre. Under the terms of the settlement, Ostrov stated that the construction had been carried out in compliance with fire safety regulations and that the owners had no intention of selling the property.
