Law enforcers came to search the apartment of Kuzbass-based journalist Andrey Novashov, who was sentenced to correctional labour in March 2023 in the case of military «fakes». They seized equipment from Novashov. Presumably, the search is connected with the fact that, according to the law enforcers, Novashov continues to co-operate with one of the media outlets, although the court banned him from engaging in journalistic activities. After the search, the journalist was taken to the police station. Later, he was released. On March 6, 2023, the Rudnichny District Court of Kemerovo sentenced Novashov to eight months of correctional labour. The journalist was also banned from writing on the Internet for a year.
