On October 9, the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation filed a libel charge against Andrey Koshik, a journalist from Krasnodar. Similar notification about charges was also received by Marina Tugaeva, editor-in-chief of Krasnodar business weekly newspaper Yug Times (South Times). A criminal case under Part 2 of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the lawsuit of the Pokrovsky conglomerate and its co-founder Andrey Korovayko was initiated in October 2017. During the two years of the investigation, the journalists were never summoned for questioning and knew nothing about the case.
