The journalists of the Radio Svoboda Yulia Vishnevetskaya and Andrey Kiselev were detained by police while carrying out an editorial assignment. They were taken to the district police department, accused of working without accreditation and deported. They were banned from entering the country for five years. Before their arrival to Minsk, the editorial board asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for official permission to accredit their employees to work in the country.
