The police detained Andrey Bodilev after covering a street action in the city centre. He was taken to the police department, where he was drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and then sent to the temporary detention centre until the trial. On August 31, the court, having considered the case, sent the documents for revision, and the blogger was released until the next hearing. On September 9, the court found the blogger guilty of participating in an unauthorized mass event and fined him a large sum.
