Cameraman Andrei Tolchin was sentenced to two years and 6 months in prison, to be spent in a corrective facility. A Gomel regional court judge found him guilty on counts of aiding extremist activity (part 1, article 361-4 of the Belarusian Criminal Code), and slandering the President of Belarus (part 2, article 367 of the BCC). At the prosecutor's request, the court removed charges of discrediting the Republic of Belarus (article 369-1 of the BCC, which had been brought against him by the Investigative Committee. Tolchin served his sentence in Correctional Facility No. 15 and was released on the 16th of September 2024 on parole.
