BelaPAN journalists were detained in the hotel room when they were filming a street protest from the window of their room. They were taken to the police department, where they were drawn up reports for participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). They were held in the detention centre until the trial. On November 16, the court found Andrei Shaulyuha guilty based on the police report and arrested him for 15 days.
