Six administrative reports have been filed against ASTRA editor-in-chief Anastasia Chumakova for alleged violations of the “foreign agent” law. The cases are set to be reviewed by the Zavolzhsky District Court of Ulyanovsk. Three of the cases concern failure to submit a “foreign agent” report (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), while the other three relate to conducting “foreign agent” activities without being registered as a “foreign agent” (Part 1 of Article 19.34). Chumakova herself has not been designated as a “foreign agent.” ASTRA, however, has been included in the official register of foreign agents since October 2024.
