Amyr Aytashev, the Altai-based journalist and head of the Anti-Corruption Committee project, left Russia, fearing criminal prosecution because of his anti-war position. The journalist wrote that he had been fined twice under an administrative article for discrediting the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) and issued an official warning about possible criminal prosecution (under Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the case of a third offense.
