The journalist’s apartment was heavily damaged in a Russian missile strike. The rocket struck just a hundred meters from the Lvivska residential complex in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. Fortunately, Alyona Melnyk, her husband, and their two daughters, aged 11 and 4, escaped physical injury. Acting quickly after seeing reports on Telegram channels that a missile was headed their way, they took shelter in a corner protected by two walls, just two minutes before the blast. The apartment sustained significant damage: three window frames were ripped out and bent, several panes shattered, and the loggia ceiling collapsed. In addition to the apartment, the family’s car was also damaged.
